Journées européennes de l’archéologie au château de Clermont

On the occasion of the European Archeology Days, the Château de Clermont invites you to discover the history of its ancient medieval castle. Young and old will be able to learn about archeology and different excavation techniques.

Several activities will be offered to you throughout the weekend:

Saturday 15 June:
- 13:30 p.m. and 15 p.m.: “Meeting an archaeologist: the history of the medieval castle”. Discover the results of six years of archaeological research and go behind the scenes of history.
From the age of 13
Duration: 1 hour
- 15 p.m.: "Archaeologists' seed workshop": Like archaeologists, children discover excavation techniques to reconstruct the past of the old medieval castle.
From the age of 7
Duration: 1h30

Sunday June 16:
- 15 p.m.: "Archaeologists' seed workshop": Like archaeologists, children discover excavation techniques to reconstruct the past of the old medieval castle.
From the age of 7

- 15 p.m.: "Workshop in the ceramologist's workshop": Discover the work of assembling, recomposing and dating objects by the archaeologist specializing in ceramics.
From the age of 6
