The magic of bamboo in Savoie... a stone's throw from the "Secret Gardens" of Vaulx, classified as a "Remarkable Garden", and between the lakes of Annecy and Bourget, gathered in Lornay the largest collection of bamboo in the region.
Denis Duperthuy, gardener one of the finest French connoisseurs of this plant, has gathered in Lornay more than 90 rare bamboo species, all hardy, forming a conservatory of mountain bamboos and ornamental grasses unique to the scale of the French Alps. A botanical curiosity to discover during a free educational stroll - or commented by their creator - on nearly 1,5 hectares of romantic gardens on the terrace on the Fier.
For nature lovers, come and discover a romantic terrace garden on the Fier, a peaceful walk around 90 rare species of bamboo.
The creation of a terrace with catering will be offered to you, to have a drink or eat with good fresh and local products.
If you wish to buy your own bamboos, a greenhouse is dedicated to the sale.
