The exhibition tells the story of festivals, collective and popular events that have marked the Rumillians, from the 18th century to the present day.
What could be more striking for a city than festive events? The collections of the Notre Histoire museum keep traces of many moments of life, joy and sharing. While some persist ... others have disappeared.
The museum team invites you to various highlights around the themes present in the exhibition: religious presence with its festivals and processions, reception of the National Day of July 14 in Haute-Savoie, carnivals, conscript balls and other festivals agricultural… without forgetting the sporting victories, local pride. An unforgettable moment of living together, the party resonates as much in the walls of the city as in the hearts of the inhabitants!
Did you know that in 2021, the patronal feast will celebrate its 200 candles?
Since when is July 14 celebrated in Rumilly? Who were the Agathines? The exhibition tells you the story of these festivals. From processions of Our Lady of Alms to conscripts, from agricultural fairs to rugby victories through vogue, there are hundreds of stories, bursts of laughter, of smiles that we share with you.
