The work-sleep combo is over. In June, we're focusing on "countryside afterworks" : nature, chill, and local produce. And good news: around Rumilly, there's plenty to get away from it all, work up a sweat (or not), and raise a glass in good company. Here are three ideas cool, local and pressure-free.
Summit objective: Mountain ofs Princes

Why go there? Because no one ever regrets a sunset with a view!
The plan : Put on your sneakers and head to the Mountain of Princes.
Departing from the hamlet of Chavanne, a climb of around 30 minutes which will really relax your legs after a day at the office, you will find yourself facing a 100% “postcard” panorama.
Little extra: bring a cold drink and a blanket to enjoy the show.
📍 Local tip: Put yourself on silent, and even forget to take pictures!

Friday - The Veyrat team, chill & hops version

Why go there? Because it is theafterwork that everyone is waiting for.
The plan : Every Friday from 16 p.m., the Brewery Distillery Veyrat Marcellaz-Albanais is transforming into an epicurean HQ. Homemade beers, rotating food trucks, and a guinguette feel!
📍 Advice to follow: bring a deck of cards!
Zen break at Crosagny ponds (and frog bath)

Why go there? Because it’s the perfect slow-life break.
The plan : A leisurely stroll around the ponds, surrounded by marshland and dragonflies, the sounds of birds, and no Instagram filter required. Ideal for a romantic end to the day, alone, or to introduce children to biodiversity.
(I.e. And the bonus: A bottle of local apple juice, some toast, and the sound of lapping water as a soundtrack.
And remember: sometimes it only takes an hour to feel like you're already somewhere else.
