I introduce myself: Mischievous Elf, official messenger of Santa Claus, specialist in hot chocolate and inspection of garlands.


But this year, I had a problem. A big one.

Santa Claus summoned me right after my nap (which put me in a bad mood).
He told me, "You rascal, I think you've lost a bit of your Christmas spirit. Go on a mission to a place where magic is stronger than the North Pole's winds: to Rumilly-Albanais. »
I was offended. Me, lose the Christmas spirit?
But I obeyed and I boarded my miniature sleigh heading for Haute-Savoie.

…and what if magic wasn't so easy to find anymore?

Let's face it: even for a trained elf, December can fly by!, with toy lists, snow to shovel, bells to adjust and biscuits to snack on (for safety, obviously).

On my way to Rumilly-Albanais, I thought to myself:

  • What if I can't find the magic that Santa Claus talked about?
  • What if Christmas in Rumilly-Albanais was just a myth, something told to the children to make them dream?
  • What if humans had lost that little thrill when the lights come on?

Anyway. I was starting to get ideas (and when a goblin starts imagining things… it’s rarely reasonable).

Then I arrived.
And then… I understood why I had been sent here.

My Christmas tour 2025 in Rumilly-Albanais (or how an elf finds his smile again)

I'm going to tell you everything.
Hold on to your mittens, there are markets, fondues, concerts, artisans… and a Pasnaill’yette who almost knocked out a trained elf.

A very gentle market, like a perfect winter morning.
Creators, the smell of homemade mulled wine, and families strolling with a smile.
The children were trying to choose from all the sweet and savory treats, and Santa Claus was there! — I almost sat on his lap!

I arrived at nightfall.
The lights twinkled, the stalls smelled of cinnamon and warm wood, the artisans smiled… exactly what I had come for.
I found some handmade gifts for 12 demanding elves (and for me too, but shh).

There, I admit it.
I forgot about my mission for a few minutes.

11 festive evenings, Along with:

  • friendly atmosphere
  • amazing gourmet chalets

I tasted it:

Result?
I drove home. Literally.
But happy. Very happy.
